The Fort Boone Civil War Battle Site, in the Leslie Morris Park on Fort Hill, in Frankfort, Kentucky, will conduct its Fourth Annual Civil War Park Cleanup Day on Saturday, April 5, 2008, from 9 am to Noon.  This event is being sponsored by the History Channel, the Civil War Preservation Trust, Frankfort Parks, Recreation, and Historic Sites, Frankfort Public Works, The Dry Stone Conservancy, and the Friends of Fort Hill.  We hope to clean out the Civil War Power Magazine, pickup some trash, remove some of the fallen tree limbs, and cut some fire wood.  If you would like to participate please call the Capital City Museum at 502-696-0607.  A sign up sheet will also be available at the Capital City Museum, 325 Ann Street, reception desk.  All who participate will get a T-shirt, compliment of the History Channel.
