Seasonal free Kentucky River boat tours. The river provided transportation for early Native Americans, settlers and entrepreneurs, powered early industries, and inspired both painters and photographers. The tour is limited to ten people. Russ Kennedy’s Free Kentucky River Park Walk starts at Farmer’s Market Pavilion, Wilkinson and Broadway. The 1 ½ hour tour highlights the impact of the river on the history of Frankfort. The Leslie W. Morris Park on Fort Hill features two Civil War forts, picnic pavilion, scenic downtown Frankfort overlook, and hiking trails and is open to vehicular traffic year-round from dusk to dawn. The Sullivan House interpretive center is open 11 AM to 5 PM with free tours Monday through Saturday Memorial Day to October 31. For more information:
