We have received several questions regarding the recent Governor's statement addressing mandatory face masks. The Governor has stated that masks are still mandated for public transportation passengers. Frankfort Transit is a mode of public transportation and is regulated by the Federal Transportation Administration (FTA). The FTA has extended mask requirements until September 13, 2021. Frankfort Transit will continue to abide by the FTA requirement that all passengers must wear masks while riding AND waiting for a bus. If the FTA makes any changes to the policy- we will notify passengers via the website and Facebook.
Thank you for helping us in continuing to keep our community safe!
Starting July 11, 2020 correctly wearing face masks will be required to utilize Frankfort Transit Services.
This includes utilizing the deviated fixed route, demand response services, and while waiting for these services at locations serviced by Frankfort Transit.
Individuals not wearing masks while waiting at bus stops, while being assisted to demand response vehicles, or individuals that remove masks during transit will immediately be denied service and must contact Frankfort Transit prior to future use of Frankfort Transit services.
