Juniper Hill Park, dedicated in 1956, is the city’s oldest and flagship park. Home to the parks main administrative office, it encompasses 124 acres including a 94 acre 18 hole golf course. It is located on the west side of Frankfort, just off Louisville Road (US 60). The park is home to several different recreational opportunities. The Jack Williams Shelter (Reserve Here) is the largest shelter in the park system with several picnic tables and a large charcoal grill. A smaller shelter is also available. There is also a large children's playground, several pieces of outdoor fitness equipment, a 1/2 mile paved walking trail, a large picnic area and lots of green space for passive recreation.
Park Facilities & Amenities
The park is home to multiple different recreational opportunities. Playground, shelters, paved walking trail, 18 hole golf course and more. The Juniper Hill Aquatic Center is open seasonally and is a water wonderland! Opened in 2016, this aquatic center is a gem for Frankfort and central Kentucky. Large water slides, zero depth entry pool, water play structures, lazy river, climbing wall and much more!
