Solarize Frankfort has announced that they are extending the deadline for enrollment in their group-purchasing solar program until September 11, 2023. Due to ongoing interest, the deadline has been extended to allow more time for people to sign up for the program. So far this year Solarize Frankfort has helped 19 homeowners in the
Frankfort area install solar on their homes.
“The Solarize Frankfort Program has worked out great for us,” said Sherry Veach, one of the new solar homeowners. “It was a very easy installation, and everything went as planned thanks to Pure Power Solar. We recommend everyone to consider solar for their home and we could not be more pleased with the process.”
The Solarize Frankfort program makes it easier and less expensive to install solar by connecting participants with qualified, pre-screened solar installers. The program’s two installation partners, Pure Power Solar and Wilderness Trace Solar, were selected through a rigorous bidding process based on their experience, quality equipment and service, and competitive pricing.
Solarize Frankfort is organized by the Kentucky Solar Energy Society, in partnership with the City of Frankfort, Franklin County Fiscal Court, the Kentucky State University Land Grant Program, Franklin County Cooperative Extension Service, and Apogee-Climate & Energy Transitions. The program is available to residents of Franklin County and the six surrounding counties (Anderson, Henry, Owen, Scott, Shelby, and Woodford counties), and is open to homeowners, businesses, and non-profit organizations.
Solarize Frankfort expects all projects that enroll by September 11 to be completed and operational by the end of the year.
