STORM WATER MANAGEMENT TRAINING
The City of Frankfort Public Works Department and the Franklin County Planning and Building Codes Department are hosting a free storm water management training on December 11, 2018 from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m. The training will be held at 315 W. Main Street, 3rd floor conference room, Frankfort, Kentucky 40601. This event is applicable to anyone involved in construction projects requiring earthwork and excavation, including contractors, developers, equipment operators, road crews and field inspectors and those responsible for municipal facility operations. Private citizens are also invited to attend.
This event will focus on storm water ordinances and regulations, and storm water runoff requirements as dictated by the current State permits KYR10 and KYG20. The training will cover procedures for obtaining land disturbance permits, the plan review process, Erosion Protection and Sediment Control (ESPC) and Best Management Practices (BMPs) for construction sites, as well as post-construction requirements and BMPs. Additional topics to be covered will include pollution prevention and good housekeeping for municipal operations and illicit discharge detection.
